How to Join

How to Join Rainbow

Joining is easy! Rainbow welcomes girls between the ages of 10 and 20, regardless of their race, creed, color or national origin. This diversity truly brings people together and makes us strong! You can be assured that the values promoted by Rainbow are strong and basic to many religions and cultures.

If you meet the following three requirements, then you are a perfect candidate to join the Rainbow Girls:
  • Belief in a Supreme Being. You do not have to belong to a certain religion to join Rainbow
  • Between the ages of 10 and 20
  • Parents' permission to join
Many jurisdictions also offer Pledge Groups for younger girls who wish to join Rainbow when they turn 10. The age range for Pledge members are usually 8-11 year olds, though some jurisdictions allow younger girls to join Pledge groups.

Joining Rainbow is Simple
Step 1
Click here to locate an Assembly near you. A Rainbow adult will contact you and your parents and will set up a time to visit with you. You will be provided an Application for membership.
Step 2  Complete and turn in the Application that will ask for basic information.
Step 3  A small group from the Assembly will visit you and your parents at home. This informal get-together will give you and your family a good idea of what to expect in joining Rainbow.
Step 4  Much like a college sorority, once your Petition is accepted the Assembly will conduct an actual ballot and vote you into their group.
Step 5  Lastly, new members participate in an Initiation Ceremony. This presentation solidifies a member’s obligation to live a good life and to do right. This ceremony is by far one of the most memorable experiences for new members. Parents, Grandparents and Legal Guardians are welcome and encouraged to attend. Siblings are not able to attend meetings.
